Everything began with a single orchid. A popular gift for somebody who has already got everything you nevertheless want to please with something.

This orchid from then on stood on a window sill. She was nourished and cultivated and flourished magnificently. Everyone admired the beautiful flower and thought this was the work of an orchid expert and collector. So bit by bit this first orchid got a lot of fellow orchids, totally different sorts. Some of them with small blossoms, some with real big ones, one even smells of incense. Once there were more than 70 blossoms on one flower.

All orchids feel at ease there on the window sill. And when their owner is on a journey again her grandson takes care of the flowers just as well – one steep bath once a week. He does not want to get into trouble when his grandmother returns. The mistake that the incense orchid only smells at night because that’s the time when the incense bees are active meanwhile could be clarified.
